SAN RAMON, CA – October 2, 2008 – Brent Meyers, Manex CEO, was interviewed by KQED public radio (an NPR affiliate) on the effects of the credit crisis on manufacturers. Both big corporations and small businesses are hurting over the shortage of credit. The interest rate banks charge each other for loans rose for the fourth day in a row today, hitting a new record. In response, short term corporate borrowing fell by the most ever. We look at the credit situation for California manufacturers. Meyers discusses the importance of the $700 billion "banking bailout" for them.
