HAYWARD, CA -- July 1, 2005 -- The State of California’s Employment Training Panel (ETP), a state agency created to fund training for California employees, has awarded a $2.7 million contract to The Corporation for Manufacturing Excellence (Manex). Companies across California have immediate and simplified access to funds needed to develop employees with the advanced skills required to meet the demands of an increasingly complex environment.

Today's global competitive economy requires California workers and employers to have the most innovative skills and tools available to succeed. Manex specializes in providing comprehensive solutions to ensure employees are skilled in leading manufacturing methods and technologies to enable future innovation.

Through this ETP contract, Manex helps companies offset the cost of providing training and development to their employees, using a streamlined process to manage all administrative requirements with the State agency. Manex develops custom programs for the unique needs of each company and delivers according to specific schedules providing value rapidly. In 2004, Manex has helped companies invest $2.2 million in workforce development and skill training in a wide range of areas including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, performance management, knowledge management and management leadership training.
