HANK HOLZAPFEL - PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Overview/Background
Hank Holzapfel is President and Chief Executive of Manex and has over 30 years of operating, senior executive management and consulting experience. He has acted as a change agent in re-engineering businesses resulting in improved operations and profitability, and has grown businesses through creative new product development, acquisitions, strong strategies and new customer acquisition. He has been instrumental in developing and managing numerous successful, results-focused businesses.
Prior to joining Manex, Mr. Holzapfel has been a principal with Pragmatic Business Solutions, a senior management-consulting firm that specializes in working with companies to improve their strategies and business processes in order to meet their revenue and earnings objectives. His experience includes working with lenders, shareholders, and management teams, to ensure the survivability and growth of companies experiencing financial or operational difficulties.
As a senior executive, Mr. Holzapfel spent 27 years in various positions with Owens-Illinois, Inc., a global packaging and Fortune 200 company. He has extensive management experience serving in general management and executive roles within all divisions of Owens-Illinois. His positions included Vice President of the Glass Container Division, where he managed marketing, new product development, sales and sales service administration. He also served as the General Manager of the Label and Carrier Divisions and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Closure and Specialty Division.
Mr. Holzapfel earned an MBA from Bowling Green State University, and a BBA from Ohio University and served as an Army Field Artillery Officer. He has been a member of numerous professional boards and associations, and is currently a Director of the Alliance of Chief Executives and a Gerson Lehrman Group scholar.
