The Corporation for Manufacturing Excellence dba Manex was founded in 1995 as a nonprofit 501c3 corporation to partner with the US Department of Commerce as an NGO Manufacturing Extension Center under NIST MEP. Today we also work hand in glove with the California Manufacturing Network to bring all possible resources to drive manufacturing success throughout the State.
Our mission is simple; Grow manufacturing and manufacturing jobs. We are economic developers focused on manufacturing and manufacturing supply chains. A majority of our projects in the prior Fiscal Year had some form of financial assistance. These included the State of California ETP funds with whom we have partnered with since our inception. In addition, we are pleased to announce a continuation of a Minority and Women Owned Manufacturing grant from the State of California in 2020. These are offsets to our work with clients, and not direct financial grants.
